Coopers

From Humble Beginnings
In 1862 Thomas Cooper started a small brewing venture in the fledgling colony of South Australia through the strangest circumstances. His ailing wife required a tonic, and Thomas, following a family recipe, produced a restorative brew. His efforts were soon recognized by the local colonials and his Sparkling Ale and Best Extra Stout brews grew rapidly in popularity, leading to the development of a brewery at Leabrook in 1881.
